On May 5th we had a wonderful collaboration outing with Wild Currants Children’s Herb School and Nature Outings at Dillon Falls! The weather and the beautiful surroundings opened the space for an enjoyable and enriching day. We opened to the possibility of meeting a plant friend, honed our “Owl Eyes,” found animal signs, and freely explored our surroundings. At the end, the kids led their parents on a tour of the plants they got to know that day.

Plants have unique characteristics, just like humans. In this activity, participants are blindfolded and led to a tree. They examine the tree with all of their senses besides sight. Then, they are led back to the starting point and must find their tree. Rowen had no problem finding this tree again after the blindfold was taken off!
