Nature made wind chimeWe had a wonderful day at Dillon Falls for our Nature Made Instruments and Movement in the Wild” class. In the beginning, we shared nature made instruments from North and South America with the children, showing them that even a bundle of leaves tied together can create a very soothing sound. Turning on our “Deer Ears,” we listened to the nature noises around us and did movements that mirrored the noises. We made crafts that would make subtle noises if put outside on a windy day, soaked in the views of the raging waters, and started our Wildheart Rattle! The children chose the shape and we made the outline. It will take a few classes to finish it, but once it is done, we will use it for all future Nature Classes when we sing our opening song. Check out highlights of the day!
