Is your teen ready to take their nature skills to the next level? Are they in love with Wildheart’s offerings but getting too old to fit in our age ranges? Do they want to continue to expand their skills while also building a foundation in leadership and mentoring? If any of those are a “Yes!” then you’re ready for our Counselors in Training program. Teens who are inspired by this offering but who have not experienced a Wildheart Camp are eligible to sign up as well! This camp is designed for teens who are interested in becoming an assistant counselor. During the camp, we will take a deeper dive into core nature skills such as tracking, twining, plant identification and basic survival strategies. This is a special opportunity for teens to participate in a one of-a-kind leadership program. Survival skills and leadership share at least one thing in common: they both demand a high degree of self-reliance. Learning to trust your knowledge, intuition and skill is something that can only come from experience, and we’ll provide an effective map for this process. Over the course of the week, we’ll be giving you first-hand knowledge of what it takes to support a Wildheart camp. By the week’s end, teens will be ready to return as an official Wildheart assistant counselor! So, if your teen is wanting to expand their nature skills, strengthen their confidence and develop their leadership, join us for this empowering opportunity.
